With the festival of lights round
the corner that calls in for the gala celebration in a country as diverse as
ours, the current buzz word hovering over the minds of all the think tanks and
environment enthusiasts is Air Pollution!
On one hand people cannot be stopped from bursting crackers
because it will affect their traditions, customs and religious believes. While
on the other hand, our future is getting closer to be choked to death due to
the noxious air. Just a few months back, products were banned from the market
due to the presence of certain toxic materials which were known to be harmful
to us humans but who would account for the number of problems that we face on a
much larger scale each year after the jolly good days of Diwali?
These problems include:
·
Air pollution
·
Noise pollution
·
Health problems
·
Child labour
·
Occupational hazards
·
Problems for the animals, etc.
Still, one can’t stop it because “crackers burst on Diwali
is to celebrate the victory of good over evil” or rather evil destroying the
good to be precise?
It’s high time that we are not forced by someone else but to
think and do things, which is for our good to save our own future.
So, think twice before you step
out to burn your own hard earned money - “Which sounds better? Crying the next
day over pollution and climate change issues or the happiness of enjoying and
spending time with your loved ones over some delicious delicacies?” We choose
the latter as a promise to our only home to make her not suffer for what one
calls, celebrations!
This Diwali, #SayNoToCrackers,
spend time with your loved ones, donate some goodies to the underprivileged
people make them smile and celebrate the victory of good over evil in the true
sense.
P.S – Think twice not only this Diwali but also on other days
like victory in a cricket match, the big fat weddings, etc.
#StayBlessed
